A TYPICAL DAY FOR A BOARDER
| 7.30am |
The boys are given a wake-up call from the House Parent or Child Care Assistant. They get dressed into their school uniforms, tidy their bedrooms and make their beds. |
| 8.00am |
Breakfast time and then afterwards they clean their teeth. Each student undertakes a life skill job (e.g. laying the table for lunchtime, taking the dirty washing to the laundry room, washing up, drying-up or taking the rubbish to the dustbins). |
| 8.50am |
Care Staff accompany the boys into their tutor groups for registration and the start of their school day. This provides an opportunity to hand over successes or issues from the evening before to the class tutor. |
| 12.45pm |
Lunch in their hostel with Care Staff. At 1.30pm the boys go outside for break time and then back into school for the afternoon. |

Care Staff visit the boys tutor groups to discuss the days achievements or any issues during the school day. |
| 4.00pm |
Boarders return to their hostels for the evening and can enjoy free time, as well as organised activities and sometimes a group meeting. |
| 5.00pm |
Suppertime in the hostel. |
| 7.00pm |
Evening activities are run by the educational staff until 8.00pm. Some activities are off site with Care Staff (e.g. swimming, army cadets, gym). |
| 8.00pm |
Boys return to their hostel, take showers or baths, have an evening drink and snack, with free time before bedtime. Bedtimes vary according to the age of the boys in each hostel.
