Dear Parents/ Guardians,

It is already the end of term, and almost the end of the year, it has flown by.

We have had a busy and exciting term. On Saturday 4th November we had our Open Morning, which once again was very well attended.

Class 6BC had a successful Outdoor Pursuits trip to Derbyshire.

Our Year 9, 10 and 11 Parents Evening was very successful on Wednesday 23rd November. Thank you for attending.

On Friday 2nd December we had our St Nicholas festival, where St Nicholas visited the school to read poems out to each boy about them, and accompanied by Black Peter who gave the boys sweets.

Our Year 11’s went out on their final Work Experience placements and all did really well. Well done!

We had our Advent Breakfast for our boarders; and after school we had my favourite school festival; Advent Garden.

On tuesday 13th we had our end of term whole school Christmas Festival held in the chapel. Mrs Cliffe read the Nativity Story whilst some members of staff created the Nativity Scene. Following this was the boys Christmas cake display, which many of you came along to see the fantastic cakes the boys have made, it was very successful. Alongside this the Scouts ran a coffee morning and raffle to raise money for our nominated charity SDR4SEB. This was followed by our Christmas lunch, which as always, was delicious.
A special thank you to our Housekeeping staff for our lovely Christmas tree and decorations.

Thank you for all your cards and gifts which are very much appreciated.
